Maggie Bluffs 1

Enjoy sunny Seattle beyond the tourist hot spots at Maggie Bluffs. The patio happy hour is a flip-flop wearing, shade donning, libation-filled good time.

The food’s ho-hum (we’ll come back to that in a second), but the drinks are good and the price is right. So bring your friends and lounge with a view.

Snagging a patio seat could take a bit, but it’s worth the wait. (Hint to thirsty waiting patrons – score a seat on one of the two blue benches and enjoy your first cocktail while a table frees up.)

Pick from a standard selection of draft beers and wines by the glass. Or, opt for something a little more celebratory like their Adult Strawberry Lemonade – more adult than lemonade.

The grub is standard bar food such as their happy hour chicken strips and fries or buffalo chicken wings. Fryer baskets full of onion rings are your best bet. The crispy battered outside is seasoned well and the presentation is fun.more adult than lemonade.
Maggie Bluffs is located at the Elliot Bay Marina. On cloud free days you’ll catch a peak-a-boo view of Mount Rainer between the sailboat masts. Walk down the street a bit or stroll out on one of the docks for an unobstructed look.

Happy Hour is 3:00 – 6:00 PM seven days a week.

I’m a food-gobbling, book-reading, aspiring photog. Born and raised in Seattle, I love dancing in the rain, bouquets of fresh basil and green grass between my toes. I like how kneading butter into flour makes my fingers soft. I’m passionate about all things sweet potato. I prefer my coffee black, my scotch on the rocks and my steak bloody. I hunt, when I have time; play basketball; and hike. I’ve been known to laugh so hard I hyperventilate. And, I’m the owner of Making Language Count, a boutique freelance writing business.
