Saturday Steal – Pecado Bueno

Pecado Bueno tacos invite you to sin well.Pecado Bueno invites you to “sin well,” with their $3 margaritas and flavor-packed, affordably priced menu. And for those who want to dance with the devil, they have you covered too. Their waiver required, eyedropper dispensed hot sauce lives behind the counter. Be warned. Spicy doesn’t begin to describe it.

Behind the counter and Pecado Bueno there is a hot sauce so spicy a waiver is required and an eyedropper is used to disperse it. Whether you’re looking for heat or not, their Chicken Mole is tempting and their enchiladas are divine. But, their tacos are hand-held goodness. They are hard to resist. Taco fillings range from grilled chicken and pork carnitas to roasted butternut squash and crispy cod. If you’re dead set on getting your protein, consider trying at least one squash taco. They have a subtle sweetness that comes alive from a squeeze of fresh lime.

The extremely hungry might opt for the taco platter (three tacos served with rice and beans). I did. But, the rice and beans aren’t much to write home about. I’d put my bucks (and calories) elsewhere.

Where? With an order of chips and a trip to the help-yourself salsa bar. The salsa bar features a variety of mango, red and green salsas that offer a range of sweet to spicy.

Their informal, order-at-the-counter setup is partnered with table delivery. A full bar offers more than just margaritas, including a Coconut Mojito. While the mojito isn’t quite as cheap as the $3 margaritas, it’s a sweet, minty concoction worth sipping slowly.
