Note on Beer

If you are trying to cut costs, then you probably don’t want to be shelling out all kinds of dough on your alcohol.  This doesn’t mean you have to miss out.  Buy a small amount of what you and your friends like best.  I’m partial to Fat Tire.  A lot of my friends really like Corona.  For a while, we were on a Spartan kick.

Once you’ve had one or two of the good ones, switch to something less expensive.  On round two or three you don’t appreciate the good stuff as much, so why splurge?

The idea is simple – don’t miss out, just limit.

About Mikaela Cowles

I’m a food-gobbling, book-reading, aspiring photog. Born and raised in Seattle, I love dancing in the rain, bouquets of fresh basil and green grass between my toes. I like how kneading butter into flour makes my fingers soft. I’m passionate about all things sweet potato. I prefer my coffee black, my scotch on the rocks and my steak bloody. I hunt, when I have time; play basketball; and hike. I’ve been known to laugh so hard I hyperventilate. And, I’m the owner of Making Language Count, a boutique freelance writing business.
